Hey guys!
Max back here, discussing a very important topic when it comes to children and the exploration of cyberspace. Actually, when it comes to children at all, the most important aspect- first and foremost, their safety. Knowing personally how easy it is to manipulate text and images online, falsify legitimate documents and downloads or unintentionally install harmful software, I feel I can not express how vital it is that the right measures are put in place to be protecting students at all times.
Well, this is all going by rather quickly! Over the past 3 weeks (weeks 7,8 & 9) I've been drowning in assessment! However I've scraped the bottom of the jar for time and have managed to take part in the collaboration activities offered through the discussion board. I've been very fortunate to team up with Andrea, and I think we've been doing great considering schedule and timing. Although a larger group would have more contributions I feel its definitely easier just having to worry about one other person. I will admit it’s been tough being accountable for my own learning, so having the responsibility of someone else’s did add pressure; fortunately this pressure had a positive effect and forced me to actively take part. Here’s a little gander at our email exchange, nothing too intense I can assure you!
I've just handed in an assessment piece for my Science and Tech. class which tied in really well with the theory work of Teaching in the Digital Age, so here's me writing a blog post about it!
It's official the 4C's save lives! Maybe it's just me coming from a design background, but I can really relate to this method of teaching and I do believe it is the foundation of all learning, especially within this century. “” We are shaping students primarily to be problem solvers before anything else, this is not merely for a career but throughout their lives. “” |
